Power Initiatives check out the World Hydrogen Congress in October 2022
The furore over hydrogen is building speed and just how important it will become in the future fuel mix for the UK and across the world is in its infancy, with the spectrum of hydrogen production available and its ultimate usage still in debate.
Critical Fuel
Power Initiatives see hydrogen as a critical fuel as technology, application, and use evolve. To keep a finger on the pulse, Ricky Rogers and Eric Greaves attended the World Hydrogen Congress in Rotterdam.
Economic viability
The conference covered the many facets of Hydrogen, including source, production distribution and usage. Particular focus paid attention to the economic viability of using hydrogen to satisfy the world’s hunger for electrification as fossil fuel usage reduces in the race to Net-Zero.
Ricky Rogers said of the Congress
“Hydrogen will play a significant role in the transition to NetZero, especially in hard-to-abate sectors such as heavy industry and transport. Our attendance at the World Hydrogen Conference cemented this view.
It was enlightening to listen to global thought leaders and policymakers. They shared insightful updates on many proof-of-concept projects demonstrating Hydrogen is an essential fuel in the future energy mix.
It further energises our work in the hydrogen space, particularly as we have two potential sites in our portfolio at an early stage of development.”
