Gareth Woodberry
Chief Executive Officer
Experienced energy sector leader with over a decade of success in flexible generation and reserve power.
Gareth Woodberry is a land, property, and planning professional with deep roots in the UK energy sector. Over the past decade, he has advised some of the country’s largest energy companies and developers, including RWE Npower, UK Power Reserve, Conrad Energy, Mercia Power Response, Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners, and Clinton Devon Estates.
Since 2014, Gareth has played a leading role in the successful delivery of over 500MW of flexible energy assets. As the founder of Power Initiatives, he drives the company’s strategic direction and growth, managing stakeholder relationships and overseeing legal and planning functions. His sharp commercial acumen and network of trusted partners have been central to building Power Initiatives into a market leader in innovative energy solutions.

Ricky Rogers
Chief Operating Officer
Senior utility infrastructure specialist with over 22 years of industry experience and a proven record of scaling operational excellence.
Ricky Rogers is a registered Engineering Technician with the UK Engineering Council and a long-standing member of the Institute of Gas Engineers and Managers. He brings more than two decades of experience in the utilities sector, working with blue-chip companies such as National Grid, Energy Assets, and Fulcrum Utility Services.
Ricky’s expertise lies in setting up and scaling accredited utility businesses, leading teams, securing infrastructure capacity, and advising on national industry policy. He has successfully delivered complex energy projects across the UK and built high-performing teams known for their precision and reliability. At Power Initiatives, Ricky leads all operational delivery, ensuring technical solutions meet regulatory standards while supporting growth and innovation across the business.

Robert Rabone
Chief Financial Officer
Chartered Accountant and strategic finance leader, supporting SMEs and scaling energy businesses for over a decade.
Robert Rabone is a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) and MBA graduate from Manchester Business School. With a strong background in senior finance leadership roles—spanning owner-managed businesses to FTSE-listed manufacturers—Robert brings sharp financial oversight and strategic insight.
Over the past 11 years, he has worked as a portfolio Finance Director, supporting SMEs and scale-ups in fundraising, financial modelling, and strategic planning. His work has been pivotal in securing both debt and equity funding across various sectors, including renewables. At Power Initiatives, Robert leads financial operations and investor relations, underpinning the company’s growth through robust financial planning and governance.

Paul Tasker
Connections Director
Grid connection specialist with over 30 years of experience in DNO engagement and renewable energy infrastructure.
Paul Tasker has dedicated his career to the electricity distribution sector, with the majority spent at Electricity North West Limited (ENWL). He has worked extensively in renewable energy and grid connection services, bringing a thorough understanding of the legislative, regulatory, and technical frameworks that underpin the UK’s electricity networks.
Paul’s experience covers end-to-end grid connection management—from regulatory compliance and network design to construction and energisation. At Power Initiatives, he leads all DNO relationships and grid connection processes, ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective infrastructure delivery.

Eric Greaves
Commercial Director
Gas infrastructure expert and industry leader with nearly 40 years of experience in power generation and project delivery.
Eric Greaves is an Incorporated Gas Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management. He has held senior roles at British Gas, Transco, and National Grid, overseeing major infrastructure assets including 600MW of gas peaking plants.
With specialist knowledge in power generation, gas conversions, and compressed natural gas (CNG) fuelling systems, Eric brings unparalleled commercial insight to complex energy projects. He has built enduring relationships with key stakeholders across the regulated and non-regulated gas industry. At Power Initiatives, Eric directs commercial strategy and project development, ensuring high-value outcomes for clients and partners.

Andy Bennett
Non-Executive Director
Strategic advisor and transformation specialist with a track record of enabling sustainable business growth.
Andy Bennett is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (FCCA) with a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from Manchester Metropolitan University. With 25 years of cross-sector leadership experience—including roles in government, finance, and energy—Andy is known for his transformative approach to strategy, risk management, and governance.
He has led M&A transactions, financial turnarounds, and large-scale operational transformations, always with a focus on long-term growth and sustainability. As Non-Executive Director at Power Initiatives, Andy provides strategic guidance, drawing on his deep understanding of corporate governance, financial oversight, and sustainable energy development.
